Exchange Email on iPad

I'm trying to set up an Exchange email account on my iPad. The server runs on SBS 2003 SP 2. I'm now able to receive email but can only send email when I'm inside my workplace. When outside, I can receive but am unable to send. What configuration do I need to do to be able to do that? Thank you in advance.

What do you mean by " inside my workplace" .

Make sure the firewall is setup the forward incoming traffic to the exchange server for sending emails.

By "inside my work place" I mean inside the building housing the server, router, etc., from within our LAN. As for the firewall, we have BBs that have no problem sending or receiving email from anywhere, don,t know if that makes any difference. Again, thank you for your assistance.

in a command prompt on the exchange server run the following command.

cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/MinFileBytesPerSec 0

Then reboot the server and see if it starts working.
