Downloading pics computer to IPad

Ok I follow all directions for synching and downloading pics from my computer to the point where I am supposed to choose a folder. Problem: only two folder options appear: Adobe and Photo Booth although I have probably 20 folders on the desktop. Maybe with IPad 1 there are only these options? Yes my IPad has up-to-date updates and Mac is running latest OS. Can anybody help?

You should be seeing an app or two as choices, and a choose folder option. The choose folder option will let you choose any folder on the computer.

Been a long time since I've done it this, and I don't have an iPad 1 to test against, but it 'should' still work that way.
