Digital AV Adapter

I have just purchased this item having been told that it would mirror whatever was on my iPad2 irrespective of whether the app supported video out or not. I have just tried to run it with "SkyGo" and received the message on the TV
that this app didn't support HDMI out, I get the audio, but no video.
Anyone have any ideas please?
I bought this to allow my 91 year old Mother to watch Sky Sports at my house over Christmas as I have cable with
no sports package.

I don't have it, but I believe mirroring has to be turned on somewhere in settings.

Also, developers have the ability to override mirroring with their own video/audio output. SkyGo may be one of those.

Go to the settings and adjust it to hdmi.
