Deleting multiple messages at one time on my ipad 2

Hi, there,
I have tried to find a way of deleting seval messages at one time, but with the edit button it has to be done one at a time. This is a bummer. Is there another way to delete seval messages at one time?

What app are you talking about deleting messages in? In both the email and iMessage apps you can click on the EDIT button and select several messages, they'll get a blue dot next to them. At the bottom of the screen there is a delete button that is available once you have selected one or more message.
