I need to know how to create a group of contacts from my contacts list so that I can use this group in my address and send a mail to all the members. Help!

It's not possible to do this directly with the iPad's native Contacts app. But there's a third-party app that most Members use that can do this and it works brilliantly. 'MailShot' allows you to create arbitrary size groups from your list of contacts in the Contacts app and then use these groups in the iPad's native Mail app.
