Changing apple store for apple id

I bought and created an apple ID when in Russia. My assigned I-store is now in Russia. However I am now back home in South Africa and would like to change my i-store to South Africa as I am not that conversant or fond of the Russian language! I would like to be able to keep using my current e-mail address and would prefer to be able to keep my software purchases and be able to do the normal free upgrades on them. Can someone tell me if there is a way to do that or do I have to create a new apple Id with another e-mail address?

Hi! Did you solve your problem? The same (or almost) happens to me: I was registered in Brazil and cannot change my I-store to South Africa...
Any help most forthcoming.

If i remember correctly i simply created a new account with a new e mail address

Go to settings, store section, and click on your apple id, then click view apple id. You should be able to change your country in there
