can't hear that ipad sounds

i have the ipad 3 and i just bought the apple wireless keyboard to use with it. I noticed when I paired the keyboard to the iPad i can no longer hear the iPad sounds ( i.e. the clicking sound when you type and the sound it makes when you lock the screen). I checked the settings and the sound are on. I can also hear the sound from my music and movies just fine, so i have no idea whats going on !
