cannot be played on this iPad

    Bought a StarTrek HD episode in iTunes:
    It will not transfer to the iPad2; receiving same error message ‘cannot be played on this iPad’.

    1. iOS is current – 4.3.3
    2. iTunes is current – 10.3.1
    3. PC is authorized
    4. Did a de-authorize and re-authorize
    5. Re-synced several times
    6. Re-booted everything
    7. All boxes are checked
    8. Video format is correct
    9. Transferred purchases
    10. Title is in library and playlist
    11. Drag and drop from library to iPad2 doesn’t work
    12. Repeated all of the above several times

    Stilll receiving same message: ‘cannot be played on this iPad’. (The PC is Win7 64 bit.)

    Any info?

    Just a wild guess, but is the Apple ID on the iPad the same as the Apple ID on the iTunes account on your computer?

    No, the names were different, but were changed to match.
    After syncing, still the same.

    Then, did a ‘manual manage’…it erased all music plus TV shows that were downloaded recently through the iPad.

    Sounded good…was hopeful.

    I'm thinking that maybe if the movie/show was purchased with one iTunes account, that maybe it can't be transferred to another iTunes/iPad account.

    I may be wrong, there are probably more informed people around here. It just may take a little while longer for them to get to this question.
