Buzz player doesn't do anything

Downloaded app, downloaded an audio book, selected " Open in Buzz Player ", and all I get is a black screen with a slider and the title of the book.
Did some searching around and found references to Buzz Player Home Screen, and Playback Screen but no info on how to get to them.
Please help.
