According to fresh data coming from research firm Wristly, it seems that 80 percent of Apple Watch owners use Apple Pay to make purchases. Wristly aggregated the data from more than 1,000 Apple Watch owners in the U.S. and UK.
From the 20 percent of respondents that don't use Apple Pay on Watch, 5 percent said they "do not perceive a benefit" from Apple Pay, 5 percent have security concerns and 15 are using other methods of payment. Around 9 per cent said they preferred to pay using their iPhone 6 or 6 Plus.
Wristly further estimates that the adoption rate of Apple Pay for Watch owners could reach up to 95 per cent. Apple Pay has been available to customers in the US since last October, and launched in the UK on July 14.
