    Hi all,
    My friend has bought an ipad through Orange and he said it will accept any network micro sim, is this correct?

    Sorry i am new to ipad?

    iPAD is not a phone.
    The purpose of a SIM is only for data.
    Don't think that there is a lock.
    Once you buy it , you can ask any provider for a SIM. You will get the necessary user/password, and go on the air.

    If he has bought the iPad against the Orange £199 deal, I am sure he will have to pay his monthly contract fee to Orange regardless of what SIM he uses. So if he uses a Pay Monthly Vodafone SIM he will have to pay Orange and Vodafone.
