Have the very first version of the IPad, all upgraded properly. Every time I try to play the HD version of Angry Birds, it eventually crashes. I restart my IPad, etc. Nothing has helped. Any others out there with this issue?

Hi, I've just seen your intro thread and no this isn't the right section. This is the poll section where we conduct votes.
In regards to your question try these steps :
Do the four finger swipe up to reveal your multi task bar along the bottom. It will show all the apps that you have opened at one time or another. Long press one of these apps until they start to jiggle and red minus signs will appear above them all. Press all the minus signs, this will close them, not delete them. It's a good idea to do this regularly just to keep them all running smoothly, I do mine every night. Check and see if it is operating now. if not a restart is in order.

Restart: Press and hold the power off button, the one at the top right. You will see a slide appear to power off, slide this and the screen will go dark and a Whirly will appear. When the Whirly disappears your iPad is now off. Press the power button again until the Apple logo appears, this will take a few seconds and your iPad will start again. You should restart your iPad occasionally also as it will keep it running smoothly. Now see if it is operating. If not a reset is the next step.

Reset: Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you will see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start. This is a reset.

When your iPad begins to behave strangely these are the first steps you should do to rectify it. Let us know how you go, good luck!!

I've moved your thread to our Help Section where you will receive a better response.

You should try deleting it and download it again from the app store.

Thank you, Leelai, for helping me get to the right section. I had done all those steps but now it's not just Angry Birds, now it's many other apps, including Safari pages. Sounds like a visit to the "Genius" bar....ergh....

Hi Charlieluc1968 -- I was worried that if I download it again, it would erase all my progress, no?

Just thinking of something else here, you have the first iPad which only has 256 of ram. Did you notice any difference at all when you cleared your multi task bar? Was it faster at all. Have a look here Settings - Safari - Advanced - website data and this will show all the websites you have opened and data that is retained on your ipad and if you add all that up its quite a load just sitting there, clear this out and see if that makes a difference.
May be totally unrelated but worth a shot.

Yes deleting the App removes your progress.
I too have this problem and I've tried all these things listed above and it's still happening.
I've noticed it seems to happen when notifications come in so I've reduced the apps that can send them.
I'll let you know if that fixes it.
