A novice IPad owner in India

Just a few days ago, I was gifted an iPad 2 for my imminent 83rd birthday. I am still getting used to it. But I am very keen to use it for pleasure and freelance writing. I am a retired test pilot and fairly familiar with PCs but never used a Mac. I also have an iPod Touch which threatens to be come surplus after I get familiar with the iPad.

Right now I am trying to get my wife to use the iPad for email etc though she has never used a computer before. This is an interesting challenge.

Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!
