Is there any advantage to connecting my Windows Phone to my IPad2 or should this not be done?

I have a data plan with AT&T for $15.00 per month / 300mbs, however I don't have the "teather" option!

Also, I use Skydrive & ICloud to try and keep all my devices current.

What do you mean by connectiing? Just tethering? or are you trying to do something else?

First of all your iPad will need to be Jailbroken to tether to your phone, secondly if you don't have the tether option you will need to get in touch with your carrier for this feature and they will normally charge you for it.
