Well it looks as though I will have to wait a while to see. I ordered a new iPad pro 11" on Oct 16, it was supposed to have been delivered yesterday and the UPS driver could not find it on the truck. Got a message last night that it was to be delivered today. UPS truck went down the road and no iPad. Called ups and they are too "escalate" a search inquiry.

Likewise, I cannot get anything out of UPS, and Apple says that 72 hours after scheduled delivery I can request that they resend or refund. If I do not receive it by early next week I will request a refund as I am going out of town later that week and do not want one "delivered" when I am not home. I will then reorder when I return.

Well I managed to contact Apple support via chat Sunday night and the person understood. I received an email this morning that they are proessing a refund and cancelled the return associated with that order. I told them I would be out of town later this week and would re order if the refund processes. I think I shall call this order in and request that they ship via fed e vs ups this time.

Those big companies are not very easy to contact for any problems like this. Apple was not that good, but on chat I did get someone who understood and was told I would get a refund and I did get an email saying it was being processed, but have not seen anything on my credit card.
Ups is horrible, no phone where you can call, but I did finally get an email from local terminal that listed their local number, and finally after a week an email saying they had initiated an investigation, that was a week after it went missing. Now if I look up tracking it just says investigation started and no information available.

I've had recent problems with deliveries here too. Apparently they started using some mapping utility, and absolutely trust it to know what house to deliver too. Nothing lost so far, but only because the person who lives several units over knows who I am.

UPS has been reasonably reliable, but the off-brand people delivering for FedX can't get it right even when I catch them and point at the clearly visible number on my trailer.

UPS said they were starting an investigation and that is the last I heard from them. Apple did issue a refund per my request after about ten days of no delivery. I was going out of town and did not want a replacement shipped. I got back last Thursday and placed an order for another, slightly different engraving that night. I was not expecting it until next week but it arrived last night, UPS.
