Yup, I have had that problem before. The last time, it was caused by my broadband servicd slowing down.

Setting up my new Kindle Fire HD 7" -- my second one. I liked my first HD 7" enough to want a second, so I traded in my Kindle Fire original for $100, plus a $25 Amazon gift card, and paid the diff for the new HD model at a GameStop. I was reading a tech blog and stumbled across a ref to the trade-in offer, which was too good to pass up.
