I know that as an English, rather than Welsh breakfast. Are there variations?

I like American farmer's breakfasts from the south, which include grits.

Try an Ulster Fry. Sausages, bacon, eggs, fried potatoes, potato bread and soda farls. Keeps you going all day.

I used to live on that when I was in Northern Ireland.

I'm not sure , there probably is variants , that was just a quickie breakfast , missing those famous hash browns and black pudding :-(

I'm having a maintenance day while I do an extended trip. I take my car in and have it checked out just in case, and I spend the day basically sleeping and lying around, like I would do normally, except at a hotel. Taking maintenance days help me not get run down, trying to see (and eat, lol) too much. I've scheduled a massage this afternoon, too.

Yes, it's the same for me. However I B&B'd in the Anglesey Arms, Menai Bridge where I chose a "full Welsh" breakfast. It looked the same as Drew's plus the black pudding ;)
