I was? I must have an evil twin. I'd forgotten about that. I have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4. Both of them are 5.1.1 right now.

because its close to $0 out of pocket if I go through my company.

No brainer, I reckon. And the 4 will still make a good iPod.

I think the 4S will probably stay in high demand for a while considering the range of accessories for the 30-pin connector.

I went to the Apple Store yesterday to see and touch. It's an elegant device but the aluminium panel on the back puts me off. Superficial me I guess.

I went from 4 to 4S. What I found, and your mileage might vary:

Better reception with 4S, fewer dropped calls. Might not matter if you're not having reception or dropped call probs.

Louder speaker on 4S. Significantly louder on mine, to my ear.

Siri added, but a half-baked gimmick.

4S comes in up to 64GBs, which was a big selling point to me.

If it were me and I could upgrade from 4 to 5 instead of 4S, I'd go for that.
