I like these

Any Port in a storm

An ill wind that blows

Storm in a teacup

Snowed under

Come rain or shine

My mother used to say... " hotter than Dutch love". I'm not sure about the Dutch reference. Lol

Wasn't a Dutch uncle remote or quite cold towards someone? No offence to the Dutch.

We used to suffer from Pea Soupers in London.

These were extremely thick green fogs made up from the filthy smog. I experienced one in the 1950s. It was at my aunt's home. We sealed up gaps around the doors and windows of one room with wet towels, newspaper etc to keep the fog out and stopped in the room until the air cleared. The day turned very murky with a bright green glow to the fog.

That just sounds amazing to me and rather spooky, we don't get fog like that at all.

Thank goodness those fogs are a thing of the past, now that cleaner fuel is use on fires and for industry etc.

It's now tying to snow, with some very small spots of White, not real flakes. It's also cold.

In the last 34 hours we have had 330mm of rain.
Huge wind and now it's all fine with blue skies
Don't you just love the tropics
