Super Bowl LI takes place this Sunday in Houston between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. 9to5 Mac has a great article detailing all the ways that you can watch the game live on your Apple device.
For starters, Fox Sports Go will be streaming it on iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. You won’t have to have a cable subscription to watch it, simply download the Fox Sports Go app or go to FoxSportsGo.com. You won’t, however, be able to watch the game streaming on Fox Sports Go on your iPhone, with one reason being to ensure that the iPad, Mac and Apple TV stream is more stable. Another very valid reason is the fact that only the NFL mobile app is allowed to livestream games on iPhone.
Verizon customers will be able to stream the game on their Verizon phone for free via the aforementioned official NFL app, but iPhone owners on other networks than Verizon won’t find it so easy to watch the game.
Other options for people to watch the game on their Apple devices include DirectTV Now in certain
territories, and the same goes for Sling TV’s “Blue” packages, also in certain territories only.
And if you weren’t able to watch the match live, if you have the NFL Game Pass you’ll be able to stream a recording of the game via your iOS device.
Finally, if the Super Bowl is all about the adverts and nothing about the football for you, then you’ll be able to watch a round-up of all the ads here: YouTube
