Walking Desk for Outside Use of iPad?

I'm rehabbing from a back injury, and lots of walking is part of the protocol. But it would be good to get some work done while walking. I could set up a treadmill so I could use my computer while treadmill walking, but I try to go outside whenever possible. Knowing that this might sound bizarre, I'm wondering: has anyone ever seen or heard of some sort of holder/platform that you can strap to yourself, and that will provide a place for the iPad to rest in front of you as you type on it while walking?
