Have you done this more than once and it stops in the same place? You haven't given much info but give this step a go and then try the video video again.

From the home screen do the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar. These are all the apps that you have opened at one time. Long press the app until it jiggles and a red minus sign will appear above it. Press the minus sign, this will close the app, not delete it, now press the home button to return to your screen. It's also a good idea to close all these apps, as it helps the iPad run smoothly. Let us know how you go.

Well yes...I tried replaying the piece even after a reboot. I also have the same issue while playing a QuickTime clip, except I can only get about 7 minutes before the freeze. Going to try your recipe for longer play but if I have to jump through that many hoops to show clients option cuts to projects...I may have to go old school and drag my MacBook or even a DVD player around.
