USB-c to usb adapter

I’m new to the forum and have a question please.
I would like to download files from a memory stick to my iPad 10th edition.
Can I do this using an Apple USB-C TO USB ADAPTER if so “how” .

If you connect your adaptor to the drive, you can then connect it to the iPad. You should see your files in the Files App.

Thank you for the reply - apologies but I’m 84 -
“connect to the drive” ??? Do you mean put the memory stick in the adapter then into the iPad ?

Yes - You push the Adaptor into Drive and then insert combination into C Drive of your iPad.

You’re welcome PS Your Apple adaptor may have a short cable joining the two connectors, but it works the same way as the short one pictured.
