unreal book page turn issue

I am using unreal book with or without a bt air turn page turner (doesn't matter). I have a fair amount of data in it. I use the animation for turning pages because it helps me see that the page has been turned. [ The instant turn I find a bit jarring. ] Recently instead of a zip page animation, it puts half the new page at the top followed by a purple bar, and below that is the bottom half of the old page. Then a second or so later, the bottom half of the new page comes in and the purple bar disappears. USUALLY this is OK, because the page is whole by the time I get down to the second half. HOWEVER, it is a problem when I flip to a page that has a coda or something on the bottom half, and I need to see it immediately. Has anyone else seen this? I intend to turn off animation and see if it solves the problem. OK did that and nope. Weirdly enough it only happens on forward turns, not turns back and not hotspot turns. I timed it and it takes over a second to completely update the page. Completely unacceptable for live performing. Help please???

When you have problems with an app it's a good idea to clear it from RAM.

Close/Clear the app:

iOS 6: With the problem app closed, double tap on the Home button to get the multitask bar. Tap and hold on any icon in the bar until they jiggle, then tap the minus sign on the problem app.

iOS 7: Double tap the Home button to get the multitasking display. Swipe up on the problem app's thumbnail image (not the icon).

If that does not work try a restart,

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends you restart the iPad at least once a month.

and then a reset if that does not work.

Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart.

Reset All Settings: Another, somewhat more drastic thing you can do is Reset All Settings. You'll find this under Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. It won't erase any of your content, apps, or accounts; but you will have to go through most of your other settings and re-tweak them back to your liking. Do not confuse this with Erase All Content and Settings.

Please turn off look ahead in portrait mode in settings->global. That will stop the purple bar. Please feel free to use the Email comment feature in the action menu or the action->knowledge base to get support as I do not actively monitor these boards.

That solved my problem fine & dandy.
