Universal inbox

Is there a way to turn off the Universal Inbox so my wife and I don't have to see each others emails or back out to our individual mail accts?? Universal seems to be the default when you hit "mail", thus you have to go back out to get the individual acct.

On my mail, whichever inbox I have open when I close the mail app is the inbox that is still open when I restart the mail app. It does not default back to the combined inbox.
