Unable to view Html 5 video in ios 3.x

Hi,
I am unable to view Html 5 videos in safari browser.I have tried with all ipad supported websites like CNN..,but only prohibitory sign is being launched every time

Do you get an error-message?
Are you sure they have HTML5?

It worked after configuaring "mime/type" at server End.
