I am new to the iPad. Both my wife and I have an iPad. If I set up an account in iTunes to purchase apps, can they be placed on both iPad or do I need to buy the app twice?
If my wife has already purchased a season of Blue Bloods from the iTunes store, can the season be placed on my iPad as well or do I need to buy it as well?
Thanks

In my opinion, the best thing for you and your wife to do is set up one Apple ID to manage your iPads. That way, you can buy and share the apps between the two iPads. This includes anything you buy, whether it's books, songs, podcasts, etc. so, yes, you can buy the App Store product once and put it on one or both iPads - only paying once.

You don't have to keep the same stuff on the iPads (they'll register with iTunes as two separate entities, even if you don't name them differently).

It's in Apple's EULA that family members can share apps, so why not take advantage of that...

If you have two separate Apple IDs, you will have to sign in and out of iTunes (and the iPads) to use the same app without paying for it again (again, family members can do this). I just find it more inconvenient, which is why I'd recommend one Apple ID/one account. Of course, and as always, YMMV.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Yes I agree with Marilyn, 1 Apple ID with 2 iPads, it's far simpler to manage.
