Lecture videos,transcripts,audio lectures could all be provided by the school,in which case many do. Access should be your choice.I think most households that can afford private schools would have a pc or laptop.the. Mich proposal was to allow all to be able to listen to audio lecture mp3s.ok,so why an iPod and not a $20 player.

This is nothing new . As of recently a lot of schools are issuing laptops that must be returned to the school at the end of the year. I suppose the iPad would be the same way.
