Stable Stand

I am looking for a very stable table mount stand for my iPad. I want to use my iPad to photograph existing BW/Color photos in order to turn them into jpg files. The problem is that I have not been able to find a stand that will hold the iPad face down (in a flat plane). A bonus would be that it could be easily adjusted for height.
Does any body know of a stand that would meet these qualifications?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I have searched and searched with no luck.

You will probably laugh at this suggestion, but have you thought of supporting the ipad with duplo/ lego? Three or four pillars could give you both the stable support and variable height. Cheap and simple, I hope....
