Splashtop 2 question

Hi
Does anyone know if there is a monthly fee to use anywhere access pack? I just upgraded to splashtop 2 Remote access desktop and in the App Store it has one year anywhere for $9.99 and one month anywhere for $0.99. thank you for any help on this

If you downloaded and used the first version of Splashtop before the update, you get to access the Anywhere Access Pack for free for life. At least that is what the app said after I updated it to the new version.
