Sound problem

I have a strange sound problem as soon as I charge my iPad 1 the sound is muted . Take lead out and all goes back to normal ??

Are you charging with the standard cable and charger?

There are audio out pins in the connector. If they are being connected, or shorted, to something the iPad's speaker will probably mute, just like if you connected a headphone jack.

That will be it .. Can not find my iPad cable and charging it with an old iPhone one that works for some reason thank you for your reply

No problem. You should get a new cable. It would probably improve your charging time too.
