Technology journalist Micah Singleton has been writing about the personnel changes that have recently taken place at Apple, and he has a very interesting take on the whole thing, stating in a blog post that with Sir Jony Ive now taking on an even bigger role at the company since the re-shuffle, Apple is back to having a two-pronged senior leadership, with Ive-Cook replacing the previous Jobs-Cook partnership. Singleton says that, in a reprisal of his old role when Jobs was alive, Apple CEO Tim Cook is the overall leader of the company, making sure everything runs smoothly, but now Ive is the Steve Jobs figure if you will, the creative visionary who now has creative control at Apple. Singleton says that Cook made the changes because he realised that Apple’s creative touch had been lacking since Jobs’ passing, and he has addressed this by giving Ive his current role. And it seems to be working already, as Singleton says “the light has been switched back on, and employees throughout Apple are moving around with expectations and morale unseen since Jobs unveiled the iPad.â€

Yes yes yes this is a great choice so pleased, Jony is my favourite after Steve himself. Jony will keep Apple as it should be the best.
