Should I Upgrade

I still have IOS 5 on my IPad 2.

I did not upgrade to IOS 6 after reading all kinds of horror stories here.

Now it looks like IOS 6 has its own newer version?

Am I correct and has it corrected the bugs I read about, such as camera issues?

I think it said it did, but I would prefer to hear this from users!

A lot of it depends on whether you can live without the Google Maps and YouTube apps.

I'm running iOS 6.0 on my iPad and iPhone with zero problems. Most of the fixes in 6.0.1 addressed the iPhone 5. I havent found the time to update further.

I could live without google maps.

I do use FaceTime. Is that impacted?

No. FaceTime is now available over 3G, but not for us iPad 2 users. It works exactly as it always has.

Well, it won't make any difference to you.


3G iPad 3/4 can use FaceTime over 3G. On the iPad 2 FaceTime was not upgraded and still requires wifi to function.
