Or, do you mean from Twitter or Facebook? If so, you log into either (or both) via the Settings app and turn on the "Share Widget" in Notifications (also in the Settings app).
Then, when you post to either by using the "Tap to Tweet" or "Tap to Post" buttons that you will find in your pull-down Notification Center - you, too, will have the "posted via iOS" phrase.

Here is the character. You can put it in a note to copy and paste, or you could paste it into a keyboard shortcut.
For some reason Facebook appears to filter out this symbol. I got it to appear briefly when posting from a computer, but the page quickly updated without it. But it works with Twitter.
