safari cannot connect to internet

The ipad is connected to the internet in all other ways, but Safari states ' cannot open the page "...www.mozilla....firefox/central" because your Ipad is not connected to the internet'.
Speed test shows good figures for WiFi. Connection to other sites such as newspapers is instant via the site's icon.
What could be the problem?

Have you tried going to Settings>Safari>Block Cookies and checking to see if you have blocking cookies set to always? If so, change it to "From third parties and advertisers" and see if that helps.

Thanks for your answer - I did what I should have done before and rebooted.
That fixed it.
