I'm fairly new to iOS gaming apps (2 years) and I've ever had a recurring charge for a downloaded game. Some games may have a nominal fee for downloadable content (DLC) that's released down stream after the initial game purchase. But that's for additional content, not renewal of the existing content you purchased in-app.
