Question about using Apple ID

Hey Everyone,
I'm new here.

Just bought my mom an iPad 2. She already has an iPhone4s and her own Apple ID. I want to surprise her and have some apps and books on Kindle downloaded on the new iPad2. Can I use my Apple ID to download on her iPad without my account staying in the device? I'd like to have it all set up for her birthday.

Any advice would be helpful.

You could download the apps onto the iPad via iTunes on pc. Using iCloud, you can download the same apps and content you've already purchased on another device to the iPad, but using that same account you bought the stuff with. You can always log out of your account, but if an update is needed, you'll need the password of that account.
