Proper care for Apple earpods? Advice please!

So my sister broke 2 of her earphones this week.She used it for just 3 months.And now she bought new once,and it's the apple earpods for her ipod.
Any advice on hiw she can take care of it? She really needs to know how to take care of it since this earpods cost her around $25 or something..
Btw,she does clip it after using it like this..




Is it ok this way or is apple earpods sensitive with this?
As of now,her earphones is slightly curled.I'm not sure if this is the right section for this..but anyways,hopeto get some answers

As long as you're not trying to force the wires into sharp bends, it should be all right to store the ear pods like that. You can also use the original case to store them.
