Problem syncing Yahoo contacts

For some reason I can't transfer new contacts entered into my Yahoo account into the iPad "contacts" app. I'm not getting any error messages, but the new contacts simply won't transfer over after I've performed an iTunes sync. I've checked all the settings, both on the iPad and in iTunes, and everything seems to be in order. The original sync worked just fine, but now I can't add anyone. Please help, I'm tearing my hair out trying to get this to work.

Try setting up your yahoo mail account using Microsoft Exchange instead of the Yahoo option on the ipad.
