Have you sent out any of your stylii for review? I still haven't seen a meaningful review anywhere on the web to make an informed decision on this.

Much better than the spam junk and the oxiclean/shamwow-style car-salesman pitch these guys have been shouting.

I have been using my Stylus R Us styluses (stylii?) for a week now. I have been looking primarily for a stylus that I could use with a handwriting recognition program (WritePad) for note taking during meetings on my iPad with a screen protector. I honestly think I have found it with the Stylus R Us.

I actually was trying two different SRU's, the 9" Brass Roger iWand and one of the less expensive 6" ones. The SRU stylus definitely take a light touch to work properly. if you press hard with it, it will not work well at all. I discovered the velcro trick quite by accident when the tip of the 6" became stuck in the velcro on my iPad case. I noticed it worked significantly better once I got it loose from the velcro.

I found the 6" stylus better suited for my use while taking notes as it felt more like a pen in my hand. WritePad recognizes the words more accurately when I use the SRU stylus rather than my finger, which is the only way I've been able to take notes so far. I used the 6" SRU stylus with WritePad consistently during a 90 minute conference call and was able to forward the "typewritten" notes to my boss afterwards rather than typing them up afterwards if I had used a pen and paper.

However, I think the 9" brass iWand may work better for other applications. It seemed to work very well with the few games I have installed on my iPad and for scrolling through pages on my news apps. in fact scrolling takes just a slight flick with the tip of the iWand.

All in all, I am very impressed with the Stylus R Us stylus and actually feel no need to keep looking.

As a disclaimer, I do not work for or have any interest in the company--I work for a midwest law firm. I am merely expressing my findings with the hope that they will help someone else. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to pm me or post your questions here.

Dear Jack Bauer,

I appreciate your participation in the forum. You believe in your product and your enthusiam shows. I would, however, suggest that you relax a little bit on knocking the other stylui (sp?). You have a great product, as I am slowly learning. But there is a learning curve.

Most of us are used to hammering. First with keyboards and now with touch screen devices. It is a conditioned habit. But, when you get agressive with 'when they are told REPEATEDLY – THAT WON”T WORK!!!!!!! HELLOOOOOO? IS ANYONE IN THERE???' You can be preceived as a snake oil salesman.

There is truth in the old addage, "Make a better mouse trap and the world will beat a path to your door" But if you open the door beating the world over the head as dumb dumbs, you might take longer to win them over.

I like your stylus. I am going to try the rolling across the hook side of velcro tonight. Then practice some typing.

We live in an age of instant gratification and there are people out there that will not take the time to learn a new skill when they are used to the old tried and true hammering. That is fine, there are a lot more that are willing to look, learn and try.

In the mean time, relax a little. Some times enthusiasm can trample others. More flies with honey and all that.

Again, thanks for the fine product. The more that try it and see for themselves the more word of mouth will push more people to you.

Best Regards,

Barry (SheerLuckHolmes)

I hope that would calm down the waters a little bit. But it is difficult to circumvent the praises and loud proclamations of an evangelist.

I am typing with my SRU stylus right now. I got home & rolled the tip along the hook half velcro and the difference is huge.

I am satisfied that this SRU wand is very good & will be using it as my main pointing device.

Jumping on the disclaimer bandwagon, I am an owner of a The UPS Store location. My only interest is finding what works for me & sharing what what I've learned.

so I wanted a not so typical stylus and ordered this one:
[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Just-Mobile-AluPen-Stylus-Screens/dp/B0042U9AT6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1291633062&sr=8-3]Amazon.com: Just Mobile AluPen Stylus for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch & Other Touch Screens (Silver): Electronics[/ame]
it arrived on the weekend and I really like it, no preasure at all needed, very acurate, feels like a real old school pen and looks cool. the missing clip is a disadvantage but despite that I really like it. Drawing works very well (Notes Plus) and also using the whole UI with the pen is fine.

I too have the targus from bestbuy, I really like it, and was faster to get it in store than waiting for one to show up, even though the website said they didnt sell it in store lol

Griffin / Targus

Baought the Targus stylus yesterday at furutreshop (canada). Both exactly the same, targus at 14.99 & griffin at 19.99.

Find nub a little large for sketching but great for games like bwoling/shuffle.

Overall, worth the price to have but limited. Would like a better (finer) tip, sorta like the DS stylus (only soft).

I started out by buying the Pogo stylus and retured it within week. I then bought a Targus at BB and really like it. In fact I bought another and now have one at the office and one at home.

After reading the comments here about SRU, I decided to buy one. I had the privilege of speaking to Jack from SRU and his excitement about his product is contagious

My SRU arrived yesterday and I used it this morning at an Apple store class on business apps for the iPad. I used notes plus and recorded the session and made notes using the SRU. It is every bit as good as stated ad I will probably also buy the 9 inch wand that Jack recommends for the iPad(I bought the Camry model)its really great!
