pdf question

some pdf's that i mail to myself arrive in my inbox already open (for instance, a map)…when the pdf already is open, you cannot open it in ibooks…is there a way to mail a pdf like that to ensure it arrives unopened?

I do not think so. I think the small attachment are shown open, but not the large ones. But again I am not sure if there is a way to change this. Note that the attachment that you can see as open can still be transferred to other apps like Goodreader, iBooks, etc
