Note taking/organizing app for iPad for typed notes

Hi everyone,

I am looking for the best iPad app to suit my needs, namely:

- TYPED notes that can be organised and searched for within the App

- preferably with sync/backup

- if possible the ability to copy and paste both text and images

I tried searching on the forums but all the searches seem to be for handwritten notes - I am not going to handwriting notes as I would rather type on a keyboard, so essentially I am looking for the keyboard typed equivalent of the handwritten notes such as Penultimate that people here commonly use.

Any advice would be much appreciated thanks!

I have actually never come across am app, that let's you search through handwritten notes, which would that be?

Anyway, how much formatting would you need for your notes? If if is just simple text, than I would suggest using Evernote.

You can organize the notes, tag them, search them and does backup.

Or you could always write notes in a different app and than copy them into Evernote for organization.

I don't care too much about fonts. Nice to have but not essential.

I basically need something like the standard Notes app but allows me to organise into folders and subfolders, etc., as well as allowing pasting of images if possible.

Evernote will do just that.

Unless it isn't available in your country either. That wouldn't be nice.

Notability. I have tried a few note taking apps and only recently discovered this one. It's truly a great note taking app if you want typed notes.

But free Evernote does not work in offline mode. Spring pad is better on that respect.

That is interesting, as I have never come across that limitation. Conclusion, the ipad is too often online ;)

But definitely worth considering for wifi only ipad's.

Why don't you get Pages. It is worth the money and a brilliant app all round :)
