Apple should definitely watch out! <sarcasm> Nokia is preparing to launch a new Windows RT powered tablet which it hopes will take the tablet word by surprise. The upcoming device is called Sirius and brings a lot of attractive specs.

According to the rumors, the Sirius tablet will come sporting a 1920 x 1080 resolution (which constitutes an improvement from previous Windows RT tablets) and an 10.1-inch screen. Under the hood lies the most attractive part with the Sirius being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip and 2 GB of memory. The tablet will also feature a microSD card slot, a micro HDMI port, a USB port and will pack LTE integration.

Design wise, the Sirius is expected to bring much of the features that made the Nokia Lumia smartphone a success. But with the apps that most users love being absent from Windows RT, will the tablet stand any chance in taking the all-powerful iPad? The answer might be hidden in the price tag. Interestingly enough a report from The Verge detailing the launch of Sirius, suggests that the Nokia tablet is expected to bear a price tag similar to Apple’s tablet, so that won’t help them too much.

So keeping that in mind, no matter what powerful hardware combination Nokia brings, the app deficiency will still not be able to draw users from the Apple tablet. Couple that with the price and those betting their money on Nokia, should take a step back and reevaluate the situation. Until a perfected Windows RT version comes out, the iPad has nothing to worry about.

I just don't see this selling very well at all. Windows 8 is so not in right now. You can't polish a turd as they say.
