Ok, so I wrote a book and have been trying to promote in on various Kindle and Nook forums. It's also in the IPAD book store BUT here is the problem.

Unless you own an IPAD, you can't see it. This contrasts to Kindle and Nook bookstores that anyone with a computer can see online and can download even if they don't have a Kindle or Nook.

So why doesn't Apple let the general public see the contents of their bookstore? It almost seems that they are not really interested in selling books at all, except to IPAD owners. Am I missing something?

I can't even post a link to my book here in the Ibook store. If you look at other writers, they are showing links to Amazon or Barnes and Noble, which is what I'm doing here.

By the way, if you are interested, the book is entitled: "I'm George, mwm, 52" and it's about the angst of a man married to a woman who treats him like a piece of furniture. Actually, she treats the furniture better.

UPDATE May 3, I finally found a link to my book for the Ipad, and maybe I wish I hadn't due the reviews are not the kindest, to say the least, but at least people have strong opinions about it, which must be good. Right?

I happen to agree with you on this, as do most people. They have spent far more time developing the iBooks app while the scope and breadth of their content remains pitifully anemic. It is obviously not a priority for them.
