Hi,

I'm a teacher by profession and I do freelance work. I decided to get an iPad to increase my productivity and mobility. I bought a Belkin bluetooth keyboard with case for it, plus some productivity apps. Before buying the iPad, I had looked at all my options including ultrabooks, netbooks, and other tablets and the iPad won out because of pricing and features. In truth, a PC ultrabook :p would've probably been my best bet but the price is double that of the new iPad. I also considered the Asus Prime & Transformer, but price versus features reviews -- and I read a lot of them -- all pointed to the new iPad.

I'm more or less an iPad newbie. I say "more or less" because I used to own an iPhone 3G and learned how to unlock and jailbreak my phone, re-theme the whole thing, etc. It seems the iOS has changed in many ways and now I find myself mystified by the process. For one thing, I couldn't find anything on "untethered jailbreak iOS 5.1 (9b176) mac". I found references for doing it on a PC but not on a mac. After going through pages and pages of google links, I gave up. That's one reason I ended up searching for and finding "ipad forum Philippines". :)

My second reason is that, being so new to this device, I don't quite know how to use it. I don't get how the multi-tasking works, for example. I know I must sound like a tech-idiot here. haha Sometimes, I swipe and I don't see the multi-tasking options. It's somewhat confusing. I also don't exactly know what other features the iPad has that can really help me with my work.

Anyway, I hope to learn a lot from this forum and contribute in any way I can.

Cheers!

Hi .........................

Hello and welcome to the forum! :)

So far, your question above has not been addressed - just a few comments; I'm assuming that you have been able to use the Multitasking bar on the iPad? If not, then either double click the 'home' button or use 'multi-fingering gesturing', i.e. place 4 or 5 fingers on the iPad and swipe up, the bar should open, there you can do a number of functions including switching between apps.

Now, if you have used a number of apps, then try the same gesturing maneuvers, but this time go from right to left (or vice versa) - opened apps should appear - please let us know if these suggestions help - good luck!
