New to iPad, a little lost in the app store?

Hi, so I got my iPad today and having come from all the previous iPhones I am a little lost in the app store where there is not options to separate free and paid apps in the categories and featured sections? Am I right or am I missing something very easy?

There is a Top Charts option that shows the top (usually 100) free and paid apps as well as the top grossing apps.

Or try an app called appshopper which allows such filters in the search.
