Greetings Everyone,
I am new to this forum, but not new with the iPad. I have an iPad 1 that I purchased a year and a half ago. I bought it for grad school, but now it's just mainly used by my kids. Here's my problem with this iPad:
About 40 days after I purchased it, sound would only occur when I had headphones in. Regardless of whether the headphones are in or not, the iPad thinks they are. Therefor nothing can be heard unless the headphones are in. I did all of the troubleshooting at that time. I did not puchase a product plan because I just didn't have the money for it when I bought the Ipad 1. Nothing I did worked. Then after going a month or so with listening to everyting through headphones the iPad started recognizing when the headphones were in and when they weren't and we could hear accordingly. Then about 2 months ago, the ipad went to registering that headphones were in all the time, even though that's not the case. Anyone else have this problem? Can I fix this? Does anyone know how much it's going to cost me to send it in to Apple to get it fixed? Am I stuck with it like it is and just have my kids share headphones when they need to hear the sound?
Thanks for your help!
