My name is Judy and I am the proud new owner of a refurbished iPad, generation 4. I have a first generation iPad, a 2008 MacBook and an iPhone 4. I am not tech savvy and have questions about how I can manage my Apple systems securely. I am a retired healthcare worker so I have plenty of time to fill the gaps in my knowledge base and keep up to date. I stumbled upon this site and feel like I have a place to find answers to my questions.

Hi Judy, welcome to the iPad Forums. If by securely you mean not getting viruses or hacked be mindful of the online sites you visit, and the programs you install. You are most likely doing this already. From time to time check the forums for news of problems. I think that most of the computer problems come from being tricked into installing a program that isn't what it is said to be.
