I have the new ipad mini and an iPhone 5. I really love the iPhone as it takes great pictures. I found this site in the App Store. Hope it can answer some of my questions. Did an invitation in Pages and emailed it to open up in Word On my husband's computer. When I opened up the email the font was changed. Is there a certain font I should use? Carpy

Hi, Carpy! Welcome to iPF!

There are some fonts like Arial, Courier, Papyrus, Times New Roman, Trebuchet MS and Verdana that look the same in Word and Pages.

You need to look at the common fonts available on both computers, if you open a document that is formatted in a font that isn't loaded on that computer then it will default to a standard font. Now, if you want to be certain that the font will always remain the same no matter what the installed fonts are then you'll need to do something else to "fix" the font, such as PDF the document.

The moral here is, always pick a common font because it doesn't matter how you format a document to look great on your device, if the computer it is opened up on doesn't have that font installed then you have lost all control over the look of the document.
