I'm a retired female who loves her gadgets. I've had my first gen iPad about a week now and love it! I'm still getting used to the things it doesn't do, though. Does anyone have a clue why my computer, my iPhone 4 and my iPad all use my router with no problems but only the phone and computer recognize each other? Neither recognizes the iPad nor does the iPad recognize either of them. I'm trying to use Photo Sync. I read a few posts but didn't find any that mentioned that problem.

Welcome to the forum....
Do you have photosync installed on the ipad as well? I know for the iPhone and ipad to recognize each other you need to run the app simoltaniasly(sp?) on both devices.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

In addition to what the previous poster said, if you've got Photosync installed on the iPad is it running? Can you see it on the multi-task bar after you've double-tapped the 'Home' button?

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

It’s free too.
